Salesforce Invests In Video Messaging- Click here http://bit.ly/jRLs1v for full article

People communicating with other people is the most important activity known to man. Businesses have come to understand this fundamental need, investing in it, revolutionizing it and making it accessible to everyone, everywhere.

One such company is Salesforce. In the last few years, the cloud computing enterprise has plunged its flag into the social media terrain. With their recent investment in video messaging start up, VSee, that flag flies higher than ever.

Investing with the enemy

The voice-and-video calling business has had a strong frontrunner in Skype. The Luxemburg company has stayed ahead of competitors with calculated business moves and a reliable product.

With VSee receiving a strategic financial injection, Skype faces a legitimate rival. The video collaboration provider is not only more powerful than Skype, but it boasts better picture quality and is easier to use. Their services have been picked up by over 5000 enterprises, including Intel, Shell and NASA.

Although the investment amount was not officially disclosed, estimates put it in the tens of millions.

Simplicity sells

Using VSee is like working next to someone. The process is fluid and hassle-free. Drag-and-drop file transferring is as easy as passing a folder to the person next to you. One-click collaboration offers an installation-less process that frees users from uploading and waiting.

As technology becomes smaller and quicker, keeping things simple remains paramount to VSee. They offer users the ability to file transfer, application share and multiparty video call.

Human research

It’s really VSee’s user interface that sets them apart. The company has researched the effect of facial expressions and body language in business. Their 720p high-definition video captures every mannerism, enabling users to get to know each other without even being in the same room.

No matter how much technology evolves, sales and trust will still come down to simple human interaction.

On the rise

Salesforce has been diligent with their acquisitions. Earlier this year, they purchased Radian 6, a social media monitoring software that measures and controls conversations across the internet.

Radian 6 is just one of 15 acquisitions made by Salesforce in the last 5 years. DimDim, Koral and HubSpot have also moved into the Salesforce circle, helping them to expand in all directions.

With additions like VSee, Radian 6 and HubSpot, Salesforce raises its voice in the video messaging conversion.
