New Google Reputation Tool Is Boon For Business Users- Click here http://bit.ly/qybmpA for full article

Although nearly single-handedly developing the modern search industry, Google has not made much progress in the last few years in allowing its users to manage their online reputations. Aiming to never be outdone, the search giant has recently unveiled the result of a new project aimed to address this. Google's “Me on the Web” offers a centralized toolkit to allow for the efficient monitoring of relevant user information indexed by the company's database.

The business user is the demographic most poised to benefit from this. The online reputation of a business will trump almost any advertising campaign. Potential customers will research a business online before even considering a purchase. It is important, therefore, for a company to stay on top of its online presence. Firms should run a search query of their company names on Google during periods of high customer volume or monthly at the very least to be sure that indexed information returned from a Google search is both accurate and a positive reflection of the company.

Organizations that utilize social networking tools such as Facebook and Twitter are better able to control their online presences. This is because Google frequently returns hits to such social networking sites on the first page of its results for a relevant search. Successful businesses leverage Google's selectivity by maintaining active Facebook profile pages. This has the added effect of word-of-mouth advertising through Facebook's own platform. Subsequent user activity stemming from the Facebook page also serves to strengthen its relevancy in the Google search database.

YouTube is tightly integrated with Google search results, so it pays dividends for every business to bolster its online presence with a well-maintained YouTube page. YouTube itself maintains a simple user interface and should present the modestly adept Internet user little trouble during setup.

Twitter is one of the best ways to manage public relations online. Twitter allows the unilateral broadcasting of news, events, and promotions to a large base of followers. Twitter indexes quickly in Google's search database. Over time, tweets and discussion-oriented derivatives tend to dominate search results. In this way, a business has almost full control of the particular mood of the social Internet. Twitter also magnifies a business' legitimacy as the number of followers increases.

Google's "Me on the Web" allows businesses to follow the perception shifts of the Internet. Changing those beliefs is, however, still accomplished through the use of various sites.

  2. This one seems interesting. Might prove to be a very powerful tool since it's practically Google's backyard, so the tool should work smoothly.
