Windows Gets an App Store- Click here http://bit.ly/lYzZD9 for full article

For years, Windows users have wondered when they will be given access to an application store made for downloading applications directly to their desktop. Over the last year or so, there have been rumors of Windows releasing an application store comparable to the Apple App Store but up until recently, nothing had been confirmed. As of June 29, 2011, the Avenue App Store will make finding and downloading applications for Windows desktop easier than ever.

Currently, the applications that are in the Avenue App Store are free of charge, but the company is hoping to one day add applications for users to buy. The act of downloading the application is very simple. The user selects the application they want and then they can either download the application, add it to their wish list or put it in their shopping cart. Another feature of the new application store is that users have access to their applications on any computer they want. By adding an application to their shopping cart, users can decide what desktop they want the application to be downloaded on.

There are very few categories that the store currently has, such as games, multimedia, entertainment and a few others. While there are not very many applications in the store, the company is hoping to add many more in the near future to give users a wider range of applications to choose from. By having a specific Windows application store, business owners will be able to find and download applications that they need for their business without the hassle of searching the web and possibly downloading harmful applications or ones that do not work. The interface of the application store is easy to navigate and makes finding applications simple and stress-free. Many Windows users were concerned that the application store would be confusing to use and overwhelming, but the Avenue App Store has created a way for even the most computer illiterate person to download applications.

Overall, the Avenue App Store confirms that there is going to be a Windows application store for users to download a number of desktop programs for their computer. While this specific application store is not yet comparable to the Apple App Store, it shows Windows fans that their platform of choice is making its way to competing with the electronics giant, Apple. This shows business owners and regular users that there is much to look forward to when the new version of Windows is released.
