Facebook has just given its 500 million members (or at least those with fan or business pages) the ability to import their contacts. If you are a small- or medium-sized business owner, we don't need to tell you how valuable and long-overdue this advancement is.
Here are the steps:
1. Go to your Facebook Page and click Edit Page under your page's photo or company logo
2. Click on the Marketing option on the left (that's the one with the small orange flag or banner)
3. Click on "Tell your Fans"
4. A pop-up window will come up giving you two options: upload your contact file from your desktop or access your Web-based email service (i.e., Gmail, Hotmail, etc.)
5. Preview the invitation you're about to send out to your entire database (or at least 5,000 of them) and click "Invite"
6. Lean back in your chair, smile and go for a latte. You've earned it!
